Hey y'all! Today's post is dedicated to having perfect skin...or at least making it LOOK like you do. I found a new tool that I am OBSESSED with, and revisited an old product that I fell in love with all over again.
First thing I want to talk about is the Beauty Blender dupe that I discovered at sammydress.com . The egg shaped sponge goes for just $3.40 with NO shipping cost! All you have to do is fully saturate the sponge in water, squeeze out the excess, and take a clean towel and blot it a little more - then, it's ready to use. Please make sure to wet the blender before using it - it is intended to be used damp for a more even, dewy, and airbrushed look.
The next thing I want to discuss is my old love - Revlon's ColorStay Foundation ($9.99). After using L'Oreal Paris' BB Cream for the last three years, I realized that with my thirties quickly approaching, and my skin changing, I needed to find something with a little more coverage. So, I went back to my ex-foundation and got hooked again. This foundation is about as full-coverage as you're going to find in a drugstore. It truly can stand alone without concealer, and it makes your skin look gorgeous. But, with added concealer in certain places, your complection ends up looking completely flawless.
So, what I did specifically to achieve this look was to pour the foundation directly onto my damp sponge, start at my nose, and work my way outward, using a press and roll type of application. This technique will ensure that you will fill in every little nook, cranny, and pore on your face. If you would like a visual tutorial of how to properly use your blender, you can visit Kandee Johnson's Youtube page, and watch her "Beauty Blender Pro Tips & Tricks" video. That is where I got my lesson from. Then, for additional coverage, I followed up with my favorite Maximum Coverage Concealer by e.l.f. ($3) under my eyes, and on any dark spots, using the blender to "push" it into the skin. And that's literally all it took to achieve a totally flawless look. I hope this was helpful! ~SNicole
