Hey, y'all! I wanted to replicate one of my favorite looks from the Oscars' red carpet - Margot Robbie's simple eye and bold lip definitely stood out as one of the best of the night. So, here is how I did my version with nothing but drugstore cosmetics.
**Note: I apologize for the lighting, but I promise the colors were nearly exact.
First, I started off with Rimmel's Fix and Perfect Primer #002 ($7), then I applied L'Oreal BB Cream in Light ($7.99) with a damp cosmetics sponge. I finished evening out my skin with e.l.f.'s Maximum Coverage Concealer in Porcelain ($3). Next, I took my Rimmel Brow Pencil in Hazel ($2.99) and lined the underside of my arches. With an angle brush, I took a taupe colored shadow from my e.l.f. palette ($10) and filled in the rest, blending the pencil line upward. Then, I used a highlight shade from my same e.l.f. palette, and applied it to my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes. Next, I took e.l.f.'s Mineral Shadow in Sassy ($3) on my lid, and under my eye. I lined my eyelid at the lash line, and just the outer corners of my under eye with Rimmel's Kajal Eyeliner Pencil in Jet Black #061 ($1.99), and went back over the line on my lid only with e.l.f.'s Eyeliner Pen in Black ($2). Then, I took Maybelline Falsies Mascara in Blackest Black ($5.99) and applied 3 coats to the top lashes, and 1 on the bottom. I took e.l.f.'s Baked Blush in Peachy Cheeky to my cheeks ($3), then finished off the face with a light dusting of e.l.f.'s HD Powder ($6). Now on to the lips - first, I used e.l.f.'s Lip Stain in Pink Petal ($2), then e.l.f.'s Matte Lip Color in Rich Red ($3), then lightly went over it with Wet 'n Wild's Lipstick in Copper Dust 529B ($1), and blotted the heck out of it with tissue.
I loved recreating this look, and hope you give it a try. Feel free to comment and/or tag me in your Margot Robbie redo pics. Thanks for reading! xoxo! ~SNicole
